COMPANY PROFILE

The family business was founded in Yokohama, Japan, by Yuzo Nonaka in 1917. His son, Hideo, incorporated the company in 1953 after the San Francisco Peace Treaty in 1952. Currently, the company is managing by third generation of the family, John and Emi.

Since its establishment, Nonaka Boeki Company Ltd. have been importing selected wind instruments, percussion instruments and their accessories from all over the world. They include such prestigious brands like Selmer-Paris, Vandoren, Vincent Bach, King, CG Conn, Holton, Leblanc, Marigaux, Miyazawa Flute, Brannen Flute, Ludwig, Musser, and Istanbul Cymbals. Presently we account for majority of the imported High-end saxophones, trumpets, trombones, oboes and the entire reed market in Japan. For other wind instruments and accessories also we have quite a large share of respective markets. In addition, we have signed contract as exclusive agents or general agents approximately 50 renowned manufacturers of the world.

Marigaux SAS, a globally known Oboe manufacturer in France, became a part of Company by its acquisition in 2007.
